Cistus

Cistus or rock roses are evergreen shrubs grown for their showy, saucer-shaped flowers. These flowers are white to dark pink in colour and start to show in early summer with each individual bloom lasting for one day. Cistus are suitable for a shrub border, pots or at the base of a wall. They should be grown in poorly fertile, well-drained soil and should be pinched back after flowering to encourage new growth.
