Santolina or Cotton Lavender
Santolina are evergreen shrubs which are grown for their ornamental and aromatic foliage. They have alternate leaves and tiny flower grouped in long-stemmed dense heads. These are surrounded by rows of bracts and are white or yellow in colour.
Where to Site Your Santolina
They are an ideal plant to use in a garden rockery, as an edging plant or as ground cover.
How to Grow and Look after your Santolina
Santolinas are frost hardy and prefer poor to moderately fertile soil.
Santolina should be cut back after flowering, removing flower heads and any straggly sections.
