Houttuynia

Houttuynia
Houttuynia is a wide spreading perennial with, scented heart shaped foliage with flowers with tiny flowers. It grows in damp soil conditions including partially in water. It is best planted somewhere near a path or an area that gets walked over as the leaves, when squashed, exude a powerful aroma of tangerines. You either love or hate it as, to some people, that smell is awful out of context of a fruit bowl. The leaf colour is very attractive.
