Cimicifuga

Cimicifuga

Cimicifuga also know as Actea and commonly known as bugbane. These are very hansome perennials, with loosely cut, serrated edged leaves and on tall stems, fragrant flowers are produced, but these are different to the normal flower as they don't have any petals or sepals they are just in tight clusters of stamens. This makes them look long a whsipy and with the colours being quitre strong they stand out in any border. They can thrive in fairly heavy soil, and can take part shade.
