Polemonium
Great savings
Polemonium or Jacobs Ladder
Upright clump forming perennials with lance shaped to oval leaves. They have clusters of intense flowers from late spring to summer. If you do have a soft spot for these perennials beware that some cats might be attracted to them when they are young, but rabbits aren't so in love with them. In the olden days it was believed that Polemoniums could treat toothaches and animal bites, so when fighting the cats you can then treat yourself with the same plant if theres any left!!

How to Grow and Look after Your Polemonium
They are a very rewarding perennial to grow that doesn't need much work, once they have finished flowering they do respond well to being trimmed back in autumn as this will encourage them to come back next year. They do like as everybody does a bit of sunshine and rich soils.
