Olea Europea 4 Litre Pot
Olea are small or medium sized evergreen trees with simple, opposite leathery leaves. Flowers are in terminal or axillary panicles, and are small, whitish and followed by an ovoid, oblong or globose drupe.
Olea Likes a sunny spot and thrive best in fertile well drained soil.
Olea europaea is a vigorous upright tree. It is a very hardy tree and shows good resistance to coastal conditions but will require a pollinator to produce an abundance of black olives that are best suited for fine olive oil. In very harsh winters it will need a little help by wrapping the trunk and, pot, if above ground with some sacking. We have not lost one for many years but you can always get that one winter in a generation that wipes out these type of plants.
