Fargesia Robusta Rufa is a very hardy non invasive tall growing form. Purplish new shoots mature to green with white papery sheaths. A nice part grown plant at already approx.
Fargesia is also known as the Chinese fountain bamboo - they are slower growing than the normal phyllostachys but are more clump forming, they are also dwarf as they only reach between 2/3m.
Fargesia Robusta Rufa is a very hardy form of non invasive tall growing fargesia. Purplish new shoots mature to green with white papery sheaths.Great for hedging and stand alone feature planting. Reaching upto 3 or4 m.
To grow fountain bamboo the like fertile, moisture retentive soil in sun or partial shade and shelter from cold drying winds, if planting in pots then remember to feed and water.
