Camellias are one of the most popular winter- and spring-flowering shrubs, providing a vivid splash of colour when little else is in bloom.

Camelias prefer free-draining conditions, with plenty of organic matter, such as leaf mould, incorporated into the soil.

Camellia Japonica Lady Campbell is a compact and vigorous specimen it is an eye-catching Japanese shrub with an upright, bushy habit which can grow up to 2m tall. Lady Campbell produces masses of medium-sized, bright red, rose-form flowers up to 3-4 inches (7-10cm) in diameter from April-May.
