Pieris Japonica are compact evergreen shrubs which tend to have a rounded shape. They are naturally found in forests but grow well in a border or woodland garden. Pieris have elliptic, glossy, mid-green leaves and panicles of urn-shaped flowers. These flowers are often white. Pieris enjoy moderately fertile, well drained soil and do not require regular pruning. They can be dead-headed after flowering or trimmed to maintain a desirable shape.
