Physocarpus

Physocarpus or nine bark are deciduous shrubs with peeling bark. They have alternate, kidney-shaped leaves which are mid – dark green in colour. Nine bark are grown for their foliage and flowers. The flowers, borne in early summer, are usually white and form a cup shape. Physocarpus are best grown in borders and prefer acidic, well drained soil in full or partial sunlight.
