Pennisetum is a tufted hardy grass – also be called fountain grass. Pennisetum are deciduous grasses, and have a spreading habit with linear leaves and narrow flowering panicles with bristles in autumn and summer, They like full sun and well drained moist soil. Foliage is green in spring and summer and yellow in autumn. Pennisetum will grow 1 meter tall and 1 meter wide. No pruning is required only to remove dead foliage and old flowered stems in spring.
