Hosta

Hosta or plantain lily are excellent foliage plants with their attractive flowers that are produced in summer. They thrive in semi shade but can take some sun - not that we get much so don't worry and in pretty much all soils. They have lovely bell shaped flowers produced on tall slender stems in summer. They do get munched by slug and snails so do protect well.
