Echinacea or coneflowers have lance shaped, hairy green leaves and beautiful cone shaped, daisy flowers with drooping petals, sometimes fragrant, throughout the summer. They are perfect drought tolerant perennials that like sun or part shade, dead head as the season goes on. Echinaceas are usually found in prairies and wooded areas. The look really nice mixed with grasses as it is has a nice soft feel with bold flower colours coming through. Echinaceas have been used in the past to ward off any infections.
